Turkeys!

Today Colton's dad got new turkeys and the church farm where Colton works.  I guess it was quite a process in getting them here.  The company usually gets turkeys from a hatchery in California but the trailers broke down so they sent some turkeys from Iowa.  When the trucks got there they started pulling the crates out and there were dead ones in the majority of the crates.  I didn't even know the turkeys came in crates that were just stacked one one another, so I learned something new! As everyone was pulling the crates out they pulled out they few that were alive and put the dead ones aside.  It was really interesting to see how everything worked and how fast they all were.  So, Colton's dad didn't end up with as many as he was suppose and the church farm wasn't even close to their numbers so they had to have another truck come. Hopefully things go a little bit better next time!

Pulling about 10,000 turkeys out of 60,000.

  1. Aw. I remember when BriAnne and I came down and got to see the baby turkeys! It seems like such a long time ago! Hope all is going well!
