Anniversary

I worked from 6 in the morning until 6 tonight and I come home to a nice cooked meal that Colton and Jake made for me.  The charge nurse at the hospital found out it was my Anniversary and she told me to go home!  But, I told her I didn't have any plans and that I would just stay.  Colton and Jake were so nice to cook me dinner and I am so thankful for the both of them.  I couldn't have asked for anything better and I love them so much!

Jake's Visit

Jake came to visit for two weeks and I loved it! He came to paint the trim on Grandma's house and he did such a great job.  He is really good at painting and I think he enjoys it, at least for the most part.  He would get up early and paint until Colton got off work and then they would go have some fun!  They went horseback riding, rode the four wheelers, shot some rabbits, we went to the temple and we just all had a blast!  I loved spending time with him and can't wait until he can come back and visit! I think he had a really good time and he sure likes spending time with Colton.  Love you and miss you already.

Oops

Colton and I were out with his parents tonight getting the water share for the cows and he decides to jump over the fence.  I wish I had my camera when he jumped over because he got caught on the barbwire fence and ended up right on his face. It was really funny in the moment but I was so mad he ripped his pants!  They were his new work ones and of course he decides to ruin them!  I told him he still had to wear them. He said maybe we could make them into shorts and wear them out to the farm.  I doubt that will ever happen... It's a good thing I love him!

Taylor's Big Day

Today was a big day for Taylor (Colton's cousin) and Lane.  They got married today and we couldn't be happier for them.  I love weddings, I don't know why, call me crazy but they are a good thing and make me really happy! Her wedding was country, western and turned out really cute.  Weddings are always crazy busy but I think that's part of the whole experience and I enjoyed helping out.  Congratulations Lane and Taylor!

Not the best picture ever but it's all I had!

Jaxton's birthday

Yesterday was Jaxton's 5th birthday and he was so excited!  He had a party that night and he just loved it. He had a pirate party and he was so excited for his treasure hunt. I think that was his favorite part besides opening presents. Colton's mom gave him this jumbo ball that you blow up and crawl inside. All the"kids" had a blast including Colton!
I think we are going to have to get one of these  things for him!

A good laugh

Colton's Aunts and his dad were over tonight going through some of Grandma's things.  They found some old wigs along with glasses and hats and lets just say they had a little fun with them.  We were all laughing so hard and I thought it might be fun to share the picture with all of you.
What a fun bunch!

Day out to the cows

Colton and I fed the cows today and there was this baby laying by the fence so we go over and check on it.  I pet it for a minute and then it decided to get up and run off.  We went back after we were through feeding the cows and went over to it again but then it started chasing after me!  I run into the truck and Colton is just dying laughing.  I sure didn't think it was very funny though.  As we are getting ready to leave I see this one cow who is limping so bad it could hardly even walk.  Colton said it was just a really old one but I was just sitting there and started to cry.  It made me so sad to see the cow like that.  It made me really sad because I couldn't do anything for it and it just made me feel bad.  I just love the cows and didn't want to see one like that.

Bear Lake Reunion

This week was our annual snowmobile trip with the Wood family and we had so much fun!  I am so glad I married someone who loves to spend time outside and who loves to snowmobile!  Colton sure is a crazy one when it comes to snowmobiling but I guess if he enjoys it then it is worth it.  I just enjoyed staying in the cabin and spending time with my Aunts.  I loved getting away from school for a week and relaxing with the family!  We sure did have a good time and nobody got hurt so I would say it was a good week.

I love my cousins!

Valentine's Craft

I don't have school on Thursday's so I decided today would be a perfect day for a craft!  Valentine's Day is coming up soon and thought it would be nice to have a little love in the air.  This is my only Valentine decoration but hopefully this is just a start to my collection!

Be Mine!

Cows

I absolutely love the cows.  It is that time of year again when the cows need to be fed and I love to go with Colton.  This year we have about thirty baby cows in the pin by the house and we have to feed and water them.  The one day Colton left me to fill the water bin by myself.  I had only watched Colton water them once so I didn't really know what to do.  He just told me to keep the cows away until it is full because they will all crowd around and drink all the water before it is full.  I was like okay that doesn't seem too hard so he left to check on something else.  I had the bin maybe a third of the way full until the cows got impatient and then they started to crowd.  Once one starts drinking then they all think they need to drink and it is impossible to get them to stop.  So, I let them drink until all the water was gone and started to fill the bin up again.  This attempt was more successful but I didn't think watering the cows would be this difficult!  I still loved it though.

I just love when they have hay on their face from feeding them!

They were just so thirsty I couldn't help but let them drink a little.
