Graduation

Happy Graduation Zach! My step brother graduated today from BYU and I was able to be there to cheer him on! I can't believe he has graduated and I am so proud of him! He is off to med school in August now in Colorado. It was great to hang out with my Dad and Deb for the day and so glad that my Grandma and Grandpa Wood and Aunt and Uncle could come today too! I got to meet his girlfriend too and she was super nice! I would have to say today has been a pretty good day! Congrats Zach!

We Don't Have a Roof!

Today has been so windy, parts of I 80 are closed because semi trucks are being blown over. Shortly after I heard this on the news, the roof on our apartment blew off because the wind was so bad! I was just laying on the couch watching tv when I heard this big crinkle noise. It is kind of hard to describe the sound exactly, it just happened so fast I didn't really know what was going on. I went to the window to find the tin laying on the ground. So, I go outside to find Colton and he says that the tin on the turkey barns are coming up so he went to go fix those with his Dad and brother in the storm. The wind is blowing so hard at this point you can barely see 20 feet in front of you. I saw this light coming from upstairs so I head up there and find out not only did the tin blow off but it took the wood, beams, and insulation with it! I couldn't believe it. Our roof was gone and insulation was blowing everywhere! Thankfully it only took the roof off of the storage room and the garage. We moved all the bins and stuff that we thought would maybe get ruined in the storm into the spare bedroom. Not only did the wind blow sand and dirt into our apartment but then it started to rain! So, we had to run to the hardware store to buy tarp to try and cover things up the best that we could. This has been so crazy! I am glad we are all safe but this is going to be a big mess cleaning all of this up now.

Lambs

It is that time of year where all the sheep in our valley are lambing especially in Fountain Green. With that being said, you get some lambs that don't take very well so they have to be bottle fed or they won't make it. Colton loves the lambs and just HAD to get some. He loves to watch them climb rocks, jump, and run around like crazy. So, we are now parents of 9 little lambs! I have no idea what I am getting myself into. I told Colton this is his job, he was the one who wanted them so he has to take care of them! Tonight is going to be long with all the baa's. They are cute though so I guess they have that going for them. =)
